Ashley Kingman, M.S., CCC-SLP/A
I have always had a passion for the youngest of learners. I enjoy working with preverbal children and very early speech/language intervention. I have a special interest in childhood apraxia of speech. I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2012, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies focusing on Special Education. I then attended graduate school at The University of Texas at Dallas, earning my Master of Science in Communication Disorders in 2015.
With a background in special education, I have experience working with children of all ages and across various settings. My relevant experiences include: Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities (PPCD) settings working with autism spectrum disorders and down syndrome disorder; one-on-one intensive communication intervention for toddlers ages 18 months - 3½ years; and group therapy providing individualized support in the areas of sensory, vestibular, fine and gross motor, and language development at an occupational therapy clinic. In addition, I also have experience working with children who have apraxia of speech, receptive and expressive language disorders, and articulation disorders.
I am happy to be back in Dallas and enjoying living and working in the Park Cities area. In my spare time, I love painting, watching movies, and traveling.
